A good example of a WW2 period Smiths Time Of Trip aircraft clock.
Unusually this instrument is unmarked, with no Air Ministry stamps. It is possible the clock was produced by Smiths, but never made it to the air services.
These were produced for long range bombing aircraft, where the time of trip function was very important - some were also fitted in Spitfires as a personal instrument of the pilot - lesser clocks were normally installed.
It is in good original condition with polished bezel, excellent dial, hands and glass. The fine 8 day movement by Jaeger LeCoutre has been fully restored and is working correctly.
A good clock to collect, or for historic rally use.
