A rare, and paticularly fine four bladed WW1 aircraft generator propeller.
Very well impressed with the Royal Flying Corp mark and Air Dept stamp, confirming it was originally passed for use in flight.
This miniature propeller is identical to a full size version of the period, and is constructed of laminated mahogany with a metal insert also stamped with the R.F.C. mark.
It was most probably originally used to drive an oil or fuel pump.
In good original untouched condition, with excellent patina.
17" x 12" - 43 cm x 30 cm.
