This viewing pass allowed a small number of honored guests to view the launch of Apollo XIII from a special
VIP area.

This is a highly significant item, as the Apollo XIII mission nearly ended in disaster.
The third manned moon mission was cut short due to an electrical short causing one of the main oxygen tanks to explode,
the crew eventually managed a safe return to Earth in a craft not originally designed for the purpose, and named it their "lifeboat".
