A very rare WW1 aircraft Rotherham wind pump. Used to maintain fuel pressure during flight, especially when performing a sudden bank or climb when the engine needed constant flow .
Primarily fitted to the Sopwith Triplane, and installed rear facing on the wooden wing strut.
This pump is in excellent original condition, and has been lightly cleaned at some point - well displayed on a purpose built stand.
Also fitted is an original period propeller, manufactured by the well known makers - Tibbenham of Ipswich. Each blade has the company decal.
Tibbenham is also stamped on the prop hub.
