Early French Aviator M. Pegoud Wearing A Wrist Instrument
** ON HOLD **
A very rare and unusual early French aviators wrist altimeter - circa 1912.
Most interestingly, made by Louis Bleriot Factory, Paris.
Pioneering aviators at this time had few, if any instruments in the cockpit - most used their own portable items such as this wrist instrument.
The altimeter is in very good original condition, with a fine silvered dial and bevelled glass, and reacts well to barometric pressure changes. There is some very light corrosion to the case.
A highly collectable early aviation instrument.
This Pioneering Instrument Is Virtually Unique.
