A very rare small section of fabric and fine rope, originating from Zeppelin L 33. This airship crashed on the outskirts of Billericay, Essex on September 23rd 1916.
All crew were lost, and it ws destroyed by fire.

These items are particularly interesting as they have survived the fire - the fine rope having scortch marks.
