A fine early WW1 French altimeter - By Peltret & Lafage, Paris.

In very good original condition, there is some light corrosion to the case. The sivered dial reading in 'Hectometers' is excellent and is marked Aviation Militaire.
The set wheel operates correctly, allowing the instrument to be 'set'.

Originally it was housed in a leather case, this was then fitted to an aircraft using metal rings.

A very collectable early aviation instrument.
