A very rare section of gold reflective (Kapton) foil .Removed from the Apollo 12 command module, after its visit to the moon in November 1969.
Apollo 12 was the second moon landing, and anything connected with these early missions is extremely collectable. This section of Kapton foil is a good specimen, with heat damaged edges - this only adds to its authenticity.
The document that accompanies the foil has been signed by Dick Williamson, who was a member of the original recovery and decontamination team and who personally removed some of the foil sections from the Apollo 12 spacecraft.
The size of the section is approx 3cm x 2cm. A highly collectable 'flown' space item.
